About IES / IESとは
The International Education Support Office is an on-campus support office established with the aim of coordinating and supporting international education programs in collaboration with overseas universities at the undergraduate and graduate levels. Specifically, the office is engaged in the coordination and support of international education and double/joint degree programs with overseas universities, support and advice for students involved in international education, and research and analysis related to international education.
国際教育支援室は、学部及び大学院において海外の大学と連携した国際的な教育プログラム等の調整及び支援することを目的に設置された学内支援室です。具体的には、海外の大学との国際教育や海外の大学とのダブル?ディグリープログラム及びジョイント?ディグリープログラムの調整及び支援、国際教育に係る学生への支援?助言等、国際教育に係る調査?分析などに従事しています。

Speaker: Philip Seaton, "English composer, Japanese composer? Reflections on the Japanese influence in my music"
The TUFS Music Fan Club brings together TUFS faculty, staff, and students through their common love of music. We welcome any member of the TUFS community – from first year undergraduates to emeritus professors – to join us in thinking about how musical activities as listener and/or performer enrich our study of language and culture. There are no restrictions on genre, skill, or language – TUFS’ mission is “intercultural coexistence”. Join us in creating a space for learning more about genres that we perhaps do not usually listen to, using Japanese, English, and music to communicate.

Speaker: Philip Seaton, "English composer, Japanese composer? Reflections on the Japanese influence in my music"
Short Abstract: Since the first public performance of one of my pieces in London in 1990 (when I was 17), I have had 22 pieces performed in public. Of these, 19 were written after I first came to Japan in 1994, and 13 received their first performance in Japan. My fourth piece, "Memories of Japan", consciously used Japanese motifs, and was a key influence on later works. This short talk (with sound samples) discusses how spending over half my life living/working in Japan has shaped my music.

概要：1990年（当時17歳）にロンドンで作曲を初演して以来、22作曲を上演してきました。そのうち19作曲は1994年の初来日後に作曲し、13作曲は日本で初演されました。4つ目の作曲「Memories of Japan」は、意図的に日本をモチーフとしており、後の作曲に大きな影響を与えました。この短い講演では、人生の半分以上を日本で過ごし、仕事をしてきたことが、私の音楽（作曲のサンプルもあり）にどのような影響を与えたかについてお話しします。

Dual Degree Programs / ダブル?ディグリープログラム
Dual degree programs allow students to earn degrees from two different universities, such as their home university and a foreign university. The University has established dual degree programs in both the School of Japan Studies and the Master's Program.
在籍している大学と海外の大学など、2つの大学の学位を取得できるダブル?ディグリー制度。本学では、国際日本学部と博士前期課程（修士課程）で、それぞれ別のダブル?ディグリープログラムを導入しています。
International Organization Internship / 国際機関インターンシップ
IES Office supports students in securing internships at international organizations. TUFS has an agreement with Organisation for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD), allowing us to offer university recommendation slots for internships. TUFS recruits, selects, and recommends applicants for internships, with each organization making the final decision on employment. Participants in internships at overseas offices will receive a one-time grant of 200,000 yen from the University Fund.
Internships at international organizations are an opportunity for students from diverse backgrounds to learn about the activities of these organizations while gaining knowledge and experience by working alongside experts from each organization.

国際教育支援室では、国際機関における学生のみなさんのインターンシップを支援しています。本学はOECDと協定を締結しており、これに基づいてインターンシップへの応募に大学推薦枠を設けています。本学はインターンシップへの参加者を募集、選抜、推薦し、最終的には各機関が採用を決定します。海外事務所でのインターンシップへの参加者には、欧宝体育平台_欧宝体育在线-app下载基金から一時金20万円が支給されます。
国際機関でのインターンシップは、多様な背景を持つ学生のみなさんが国際機関の活動について学び、各機関の専門家とともに働きながら知識と経験を得ることができる機会です。詳細については、下記サイトを参照してください。

We provide an opportunity for applicants to receive advice on how to write application documents and prepare for the interviews from Ms. Chikako Takase, who has a long and extensive career at the United Nations, such as the United Nations Department of Economic and Social Affairs (UN DESA) and the United Nations Centre for Regional Development (UNCRD). Additionally, we hold events such as reporting sessions on internships at international organizations. If you are interested in participating in the internship or working at an international organization in the future, please feel free to attend those events.
また、国際連合経済社会局（UN DESA）や国際連合地域開発センター（UNCRD）など国連で長く豊富なキャリアをお持ちの髙瀬千賀子先生に、応募書類の書き方や面接の準備などに関してアドバイスをいただける機会を設けています。また、国際機関でのインターンシップに関連して、報告会などのイベントも開催しています。インターンシップへの参加や、将来的に国際機関で勤務することに関心のある方は、ぜひこの機会をご利用ください。
